Remittances
Looking for a fast, convenient way to send money to a family member or friend that lives in another country? Look no further. We have an answer for you…with Winona National Bank’s Remittances.
Remittances are a means of transferring money from Winona National Bank to a paying point outside the United States. Currently we are able to send money to the following countries: Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Columbia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
There are two ways we can send the money: either by a cash transfer where the beneficiary (recipient) would pick up the cash at a paying point or we can send the money directly to their checking or savings account.
This service is available to customers and non-customers and the money transfers can be completed at the teller line at all locations.
In order to complete a transfer you need to have the following information:
- A valid picture identification like a driver’s license or Matricular Consular Card
- information about beneficiary including:
- name
- address
- phone number
- birth date
- the answer to a secret question that the beneficiary will need to know in order to pick up the money
- the country, state and city that you want the money sent to
Also, if you want the money sent to a specific account number we would need to know that as well.
