Direct Deposits
Direct deposit is convenient because it can eliminate a trip to the bank. The money will be automatically deposited into your account. The U.S. government requires direct deposit more and more often because direct deposit saves the government (and the taxpayers) millions of dollars each year.
Myth: I don’t want direct deposit because I don’t want anyone getting in my bank account.
Response: Direct deposit only works one way—no one will make withdrawals without the client’s consent.
Myth: Direct deposit system isn’t reliable.
Response: No system, including check writing, is always reliable. Over the years, however, direct deposit continues to offer much higher reliability than check-based systems.
